Eartech — that's all you need to hear! With Eartech’s exceptional customer service, why go anywhere else?
High school sweethearts, Mark and Marja have been married almost 40 years. After moving from Michigan to Bradenton, FL, they raised three awesome sons who have blessed them with three beautiful daughters-in-law and seven grandchildren. Mark Krywko started in the hearing aid industry in 1975. He brought on his son, Jason, in 1998, and EarTech runs as a family-owned business—not a corporate chain. Mark and Marja are members of Bradenton ELKS Lodge 1511. Jason is on the Board of Directors for the College of Business at University of South Florida Sarasota/Manatee.
MEET THE FAMILY
Owner Mark Krywko moved his family from Michigan to Florida in 1984. He and his wife, Marja, started EarTech in 1988 to offer people high quality custom manufactured hearing aids.
Mark has 40 years in the hearing healthcare industry and is proud that our experience comes from knowing hearing aids from the inside out. Programming and service after the hearing aid purchase is as important as taking the first step to getting a hearing aid.
As a hearing aid specialist, Mark tests, fits, and services hearing aids. Marja runs the day-to-day business operations. Lori Thomas, CCCA/SLP, oversees the Audiology Department. Mark and Marja’s son, Jason, joined EarTech in 1998. He also test, fits, and does at-home installation of the newest wireless hearing aid products for television and telephones. New hearing aid users appreciate the one-on-one instruction for using newer styles such as open fit and deep canal-fit hearing aids. No other company in the area offers such personalized service!

WHAT WE DO
What is a hearing consultation?
We provide a free hearing examination and discuss what type of hearing loss, if any, the patient has. If a hearing loss is found, we can put on a demonstration set of hearing aids to allow patients see the difference the hearing aids make. We spend an hour with each patient for examination and thirty minutes for service. his provides ample time to answer questions and help teach our patients how to properly use their instruments. We strongly encourage bringing family or friends to your visit. This allows us to teach them as well about your hearing loss and how they can speak to you to improve communication in various noisy situations.
What should I expect during an audiological evaluation?
The hearing examination or hearing test takes approximately 30 minutes. You will sit in a custom-made sound resistant booth that has a large glass window. EarTech also has a testing booth that is large enough to easily accommodate wheelchairs. First we will perform a visual examination of the ear to look for any abnormalities. This allows us to see if you simply have a blockage of the ear or other conditions, such as an ear infection, that need to be addressed. Next you will have the audiological or hearing examination. This involves listening to tones and repeating words back to the examiner. You also will have a small instrument placed behind your ear to test by using vibrations to give us an idea if you have any other ear abnormalities. This process lets us know what type of hearing loss you have and what options we have to help improve the way you hear. We take about 30 minutes to explain the results to you and your family.
How long do repairs take?
A quick cleaning only takes about 15 minutes, while damaged hearing instruments can take one day to one week to repair. EarTech has an in-house repair technician who has manufactured and repaired hearing aids for 25 years. This allows us to charge a fraction of the cost compared to other audiology and hearing aid practices. Our technician will also help answer technical questions if need. Repairs for out of warranty hearing aids that require being opened for service cost from $75 dollars for newer instruments to $250 for hearing aids older than 10 years.
